I had to get a shot of this Shisa dog, as this is the largest one on the island. It is said that these gargoyle like creatures protect from evil spirits. I couldn't imagine how evil a spirit is or how many for there to be such a large lion-dog needed. Nonetheless, you can find them anywhere in various colors and sizes - even at our front door. I will be posting more of these in the future.
