So the funniest thing happened to me today. I climbed all the way to the top of the Stairway to Heaven located right outside of Camp Foster in Okinawa. When I came back down I received a typed "citation" with a bunch of it crossed out saying I was being reported to PMO and that I was accessing an area illegally. It was dated for today a year ago and didn't even have the full plate number written in. Talk about nutty. I went to PMO and they told me that it was a fake citation and not to worry about it. The culprit has been harassing other military members who want to climb the stairs. The staircase itself is about 270 steps that are on a steep incline.The top gives you a narrow view of the city and ocean due to all the trees surrounding, but it is peaceful at the top. The image I am posting is of the stairs, and I will surely be returning because the workout was killer.
